Net Curtains Theatre Company is an actor-led ensemble that specializes in developing and staging new work.

Over the past seven years we have produced plays at The Southwark Playhouse, The Soho Theatre, The Tricycle and The Arcola.



Our new writing projects are based on the artistic director's commissions. A theme is chosen, such as flooding, and we commission several writers to respond to this.  We feel that an issue is best explored through several points of view.  All the plays are given the remit of being half an hour, we perform them in front of an audience over two evenings, take feedback and then develop the play which has received the most interest.

We are always looking for exciting theatre practitioners who are interested in the same social and environenmental issues as we are.

We encourage directors to lead one-off, in-house workshops for us, with a view to developing a professional relationship. Often the directors who come on board a commissioned project have run inspirational workshops and return to direct our commissioned work.
